Mission Hills Addition/Remodel

A 1960s suburban ranch home on a prominent corner lot in an upscale neighborhood was completely reimagined as a modern Scandinavian-style cottage befitting of its location. Existing hipped roofs were minimized with the addition of two front-facing gables clad in brick, defining a welcoming landscaped courtyard at the entrance. Vaulted wood and beamed ceilings combined with pale natural wood and marble accents complete the minimalist aesthetic on the inside. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors were added to create a physical and visual connection to the spacious, backyard swimming pool. The vaulted wood and beamed ceilings continue into the owner’s suite and guest quarters, along with fully updated bathrooms featuring Carrara marble tile and counters. The second-floor bedroom and bath along with the lower-level rec room were also renovated to complete the transformation of the entire home.
